General objectives of Conectando mundos
- Foster intercultural dialogue among girls and boys belonging to different social and geographic environments
- Facilitate an efficient space for cooperative working through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), which enables mutual knowledge, sharing diverse realities and discovering common problems, based on the motto “think globally, act locally”.
- Using reflections on the close environment and knowledge of the reality of the remaining participants as a starting point, become aware of the causes behind the fact that the majority of the world’s population is not able to satisfy their basic needs and the causes for the lack of opportunities and rights, and jointly elaborate a commitment-proposal to change this reality.

Specific objectives of the Conectando mundos edition, Dreams of a swallow
- Knowing and analysing, in a critical manner, migration processes: causes and consequences for people’s lives and the environment.
- Promoting interest and curiosity for investigating the subject of migrations and development in a near context, sharing the main ideas with students who have different realities, in order to draw conclusions at a global level.
- Fostering individual and collective actions and conducts for change to contribute to building an open and diverse society based on the values of solidarity and mutual respect among people from different origins.
